The Coolangatta Hotel is looking for a chef to join us over the Christmas period!

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and reliable chef to support our team during the busy festive season. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen and delivering great food under pressure, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and cooking food
• Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding garnishes and sauces
• Ensuring all meals are of high quality and are prepared in a timely manner
• Utilising a variety of fresh, frozen and prepared ingredients to prepare, cook and present a range of dishes according to a seasonal menu
• Practicing effective stock rotation and wastage minimisation procedures
• Assisting our team in maintaining an efficient and proactive kitchen operation

The following skills and qualifications are essential:

• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or higher.
• Previous experience as a chef in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work various hospitality hours, across 2 – 3 days per week.
