The Cooly Hotel is on the lookout for a skilled and experienced Admin Manager to join our team part‑time! If you’re passionate about hospitality and enjoy working in a vibrant, fast‑paced venue, this could be the perfect fit. We’re offering 20–25 hours per week, with flexibility to suit your availability.

About Us:

The Cooly Hotel is one of Gold Coast’s iconic hotspots, located right on the stunning beachfront of Coolangatta Beach. The Hotel features a restaurant and beer garden, TAB, Keno and Gaming Lounge, an upstairs Bandroom for live gigs, function spaces and pool tables, making it a popular destination for locals and a must-visit for tourists.

Responsibilities:

  • Responding to, and screening incoming telephone calls.
  • Accurate cash handling ability for balancing and banking.
  • Liaising with suppliers and Finance to coordinate the timely payment of invoices.
  • Manage and reconcile debtor accounts, ensuring timely payments.
  • Oversee cash float reconciliation and distribute funds to staff as needed.
  • Ensure all cash floats are accurate and investigate & report discrepancies.
  • Coordinate venue monthly compliance audits and follow up arising actions.
  • Assist with the co-ordination of employee records and documentation.
  • Assist with functions, gaming and F&B duties on an adhoc basis.

Skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years working within a similar administrative role.
  • Experience within the hospitality industry is desired.
  • Experience with cash & debt management in a gaming environment is desired.
  • A prior understanding of payroll procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • The ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Proficient in computer systems and office software (e.g., Excel, Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) & Responsible Service of Gaming Certification (desired, not mandatory).
