About the role

We are currently looking for a team of female Disability Support Workers to support 3 women we have in care. These women range in age from 21 – 58 years old and enjoy things like drawing/coloring in, swimming, getting out and exploring/socializing in their community, attending the movies, volunteering, and having a good coffee. 

 

We understand that the role can be quite varied depending on the individual you support however, your day-to-day may involve you assisting with personal care, transportation, community access, feeding, mobility, and domestic duties. This role is perfect for you if you are someone who loves to help others maintain their quality of life in a supported independent living environment.

 

Please note that these clients are located in North Brisbane. You may be rostered with other clients in Fitzgibbon and surrounding suburbs (Morayfield, Strathpine).

 

About You

·      You have completed a Certificate 3 or higher in Disability, Aged Care, or other relevant courses

·      You have previous experience working with people with disabilities, preferably within an accommodation setting

·      You are committed to providing client focused services with positive outcomes

 

To apply for this role, you will need to the following.

·      A current Working with Children Check

·      An NDIS Worker Screening Certificate

·      A blue card

·      A current police check conducted within 6 months

·      A valid Australian driver's license with a reliable and comprehensively insured car

·      A current first aid certificate
