Liquor Retail Manager

Commercial Liquor is a busy, community-focused bottleshop located in the heart of Kingaroy. We pride ourselves on delivering competitively priced products while maintaining high retailing standards of excellence. Open 7 days a week from 10am, we offer customers a wide range of beer, wine, spirits, and regularly updated in-store specials.

The Role:

As the Retail Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our drive-thru bottleshop. You’ll lead by example, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and driving sales to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of retail team, fostering a positive work environment.
• Manage daily operations, including inventory control, merchandising, shrinkage and roster scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with all liquor licensing regulations.
• Drive sales and profitability through excellent customer service and strategic planning.
• Monitor and analyse sales performance, implementing improvements where needed.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.

About You:

• Minimum of 2 years management experience in a retail or bottleshop environment.
• Proven experience in the liquor, FMCG or hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of liquor products and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.
