About the Role:

We are seeking a Training Coordinator to lead the workforce training initiative for the transition from SAP Warehouse Management (WM) to SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). This role will ensure that employees at Newport News Shipbuilding are properly trained to use SAP EWM effectively, aligning with the project’s goal of leveraging SAP’s out-of-the-box functionality with minimal customization.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training plan for SAP EWM.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including functional and IT personnel, to ensure training aligns with system capabilities and business processes.
  • Organize and schedule training sessions, workshops, and hands-on demonstrations.
  • Develop training materials, including manuals, job aids, e-learning modules, and simulations.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users, super-users, and key stakeholders.
  • Assess training effectiveness through evaluations, feedback sessions, and competency assessments.
  • Provide ongoing support and refresher training as needed.
  • Maintain documentation of training plans, attendance, and completion records.
  • Serve as the point of contact for training-related inquiries and support.
  • Ensure alignment with best practices for SAP EWM implementation and adoption.



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Education, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in training coordination, instructional design, or workforce development.
  • Experience with SAP EWM or SAP WM training and implementation.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and e-learning software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in the manufacturing, shipbuilding, or logistics industry is a plus.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP EWM certification or prior experience in SAP implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training best practices.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for tracking training progress.
  • Familiarity with change management and user adoption strategies.
