Graduate Opportunity: Mechanical Engineering
Start your career where theory meets hands-on application.
Adbri is looking for a curious, driven, and hands-on Mechanical Engineering Graduate to join our high-performing team in cement manufacturing. This role is ideal for someone ready to move beyond the textbooks and take on real-world engineering challenges—contributing directly to the performance, reliability, and improvement of large-scale mechanical systems and maintenance operations.
You'll work closely with a team of experienced engineers and maintenance professionals in a supportive, collaborative environment. This is a unique opportunity to be mentored by industry experts and gain meaningful project experience from day one.
In this role, you’ll:
- Assist with root cause investigations and reliability-focused problem solving
- Help develop maintenance strategies and procedures
- Support and deliver SIB (Sustain in Business) projects to improve equipment performance
- Work alongside site engineers, maintenance managers, and trades teams
- Contribute to operational support across multiple sites
You’ll be exposed to a wide variety of engineering initiatives, playing a key role in ensuring our manufacturing assets run safely and efficiently.
We’re looking for someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and get involved—not just sit behind a desk.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably focused on maintenance or reliability
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems and engineering principles
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office
- A valid driver’s licence (site travel required)
- A proactive, inquisitive mindset with strong communication skills
- Confidence engaging with a variety of stakeholders across teams
Familiarity with SAP is a bonus, but not required.
Development & Support
At Adbri, your growth matters. As a graduate, you’ll receive:
- Structured onboarding and training across systems and safety protocols
- Access to external online training and short courses based on project needs
- Ongoing coaching from senior engineers and mentors
- Real, hands-on experience to prepare you for future roles in maintenance, reliability, or broader engineering functions
You’ll join a team that values knowledge-sharing, practical problem-solving, and inclusivity. We encourage continuous learning and provide the support you need to build confidence and capability.
Who we’re looking for
A standout candidate is someone eager to be hands-on, confident working on site, and mature in how they approach challenges. Whether you're just graduating or transitioning from a technical trade background, we value initiative, resilience, and a passion for solving problems in the field.
