The role

We have an exciting opportunity to join a supportive, collaborative and innovative team at our state-of-the-art facility in Kwinana!

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to plan, lead, supervise and co-ordinate the mechanical maintenance team and its functions ensuring the safe, compliant & reliable operation of the plant.

This permanent, full time position will be responsible for the safe and effective mechanical maintenance of facility assets, to meet availability and reliability targets required for the production unit. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead a 100% commitment to improving the Health and Safety culture and performance across the Kwinana operations.
  • Supervise and coordinate the 'in-house' mechanical maintenance team to carryout effective maintenance and repairs of mechanical equipment across the Kwinana site, to reduce and prevent mechanical failures.
  • Develop and manage the execution of maintenance plans to deliver asset reliability to meet production and planning targets within set approved budgets
  • Manage and develop the mechanical team members to ensure a cross sectional skill set is maintained as a team to support the team's function.
  • Supervise and coordinate contracting teams across the facility to support the mechanical maintenance function.
  • Assist in the development, scheduling and execution of shutdown plans across the Kwinana operational facility.
  • Support and drive the implementation of innovative technologies to support the mechanical maintenance function

What you will need to succeed

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy industry processing
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience in health and safety risk management
  • Ability to work with SAP in maintenance, purchasing and stores functions
  • Experience developing and implementing plans to meet various objectives
  • Experience utilising Microsoft office suite - Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical trade or equivalent (fitter/machinist or Boiler maker/fitter)
  • HRWL – DG, RB, LF, WP (dogging, basic rigging, forklift and elevated working platform)
  • Confined space entry and gas testing certificate - desirable
  • Working at heights certified - desirable
  • Supervised Gas fitter - desirable
