The Opportunity

CMC is experiencing a strong period of sustained growth, driven by the continued success of our precontracts team and a healthy pipeline of secured work. As a result of recently awarded projects across the region, we are seeking experienced and emerging Project Managers to join our team and play a key role in delivering major civil infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career with one of Queensland’s leading privately owned civil contractors.

About you

You've progressed through the Civil Engineering pathway, building a strong track record delivering complex transport infrastructure projects across roads, bridges and rail for major transport authorities. A proven leader, you excel at building high-performing teams, fostering strong stakeholder relationships, and driving project success. With a commercial mindset, you're focused on maximising project performance, controlling costs, and delivering strong margin and profitability outcomes.

Key Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering civil infrastructure projects to DTMR or TfNSW specifications in a Project Manager capacity.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage high-performing project teams.
  •  Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Sound commercial acumen with experience in project planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Proficient in project management systems, software, and reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of safety, quality, environmental, and contractual requirements.
