About us

CMC is a leading civil construction company with a bold vision for growth, diversification, and long-term market leadership.

With a strong foundation and a proven track record of successful delivery, we are now seeking an exceptional, experienced, and collaborative Commercial Manager to take a hands-on leadership role in shaping and safeguarding the commercial success of our projects.

Working alongside our Operations, Pre-contracts, Legal and Delivery teams, you'll be a key advisor and strategic contributor across head contracts, subcontract negotiations, scope management, risk mitigation and project commercial performance.

About the role

In this role, you will:

  • Guide head contract reviews, subcontract departures, and scope management strategy with both upstream and downstream stakeholders;
  • Provide project teams with commercial insight, coaching and practical support across contracts, variations, and risk;
  • Drive system and process improvements across commercial governance, performance tracking, and cost forecasting;
  • Work with people who know their craft, value accountability, and don’t mind the occasional laugh in between deadlines.

About you

You’ll bring a sharp commercial mind, a calm steady hand, and a commitment to building capability in those around you.

In addition you will possess:
