About the opportunity

CMC is currently seeking several Graduate Civil Engineers to join the company on projects located between the Central Qld to North Qld area, with possible FIFO/DIDO opportunities.

Reporting to a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager you will:

 

  • Be involved in implementing or creating innovative, cost-efficient construction methodologies and techniques;
  • Work actively with Supervisors and the workforce to eliminate the requirement to do activities again;
  • Assist the Superintendent and Supervisor with tasks delegated by the Project Engineer/Manager;
  • Get involved with the continuous monitoring of program throughout the life of the project ensuring milestones are completed on time;
  • And, in conjunction with Superintendents and Supervisors, assist with planning the resources required to achieve the construction program (plant, labour and subcontractors) and sourcing.

 

About you

Previous or current experience working on civil infrastructure projects will be highly regarded but is not essential.

However, the following are critical:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering;
  • The ability to work as part of a team that is driven by success;
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Sound technical knowledge;
  • An enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude and natural self-motivation;
  • Be both willing and able to travel and work away from home when required on various rosters.
