About Us

CMC is a 100% Australian owned, privately run civil contractor. With a strong focus on people, culture, and services, we are proud of our 20-year legacy delivering multi-million-dollar civil works across Queensland and NSW.

Our exceptional people deliver exceptional outcomes because they are valued, supported, and encouraged to grow.

Apply today and be part of our future success story.

About the Role

Reporting to the HS Manager, Environmental Manager, and Operations Managers, you will provide essential support across Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) systems.

This role is critical to ensuring HSEQ documentation, registers, and records are accurate, compliant, and audit-ready across projects and Head Office operations.

You will be the backbone of the system - supporting HSEQ Advisors and Project Teams by ensuring systems run smoothly and reliably behind the scenes.

Your duties will include:

  • Maintaining HSEQ management systems, registers, and records in line with legislative, contractual, and company requirements;
  • Managing document control for HSEQ plans, procedures, SWMS, ITPs, checklists, forms, and records, including version control and approvals;
  • Supporting incident, hazard, and near-miss reporting, including logging, tracking, and closing corrective and preventative actions;
  • Maintaining incident, audit, environmental, quality, and compliance registers to ensure all records are complete and audit-ready;
  • Assisting with internal, external, and client audits by collating documentation, evidence, and tracking close-out actions;
  • Maintaining training, competency, and induction records for employees and subcontractors, including licence and ticket expiry tracking;
  • Supporting onboarding and mobilisation documentation for new projects, including HSEQ plans and site inductions;
  • Providing HSEQ administrative support to Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and site-based teams;
  • Assisting with subcontractor compliance documentation and HSEQ reporting for client submissions.

About You

You are a highly organised administrator who enjoys working with structure, systems, and compliance.

You take pride in accuracy, consistency, and keeping things up to date, and you understand how important good documentation is for strong HSEQ outcomes.

Ideally, you will have experience in construction, civil, mining, or infrastructure environments, or exposure to safety, quality, or environmental systems.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or document control role;
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage registers, records, and deadlines;
  • Confidence following up actions and working with multiple stakeholders;
  • A methodical and reliable approach to compliance and record keeping;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.

Experience with HSEQ or WHS systems, audits, compliance reporting, or document control platforms will be highly regarded, as will a Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, WHS, or a related discipline.
