About the role

Your primary objective will be to ensure effective planning, resourcing, and consistent business processes are applied across all projects to enhance CMC’s capability and profitability.

You will achieve this by championing a best-for-business approach to planning and resourcing by:

• Contributing to the planning and construction methodology of all projects in conjunction with the operations/project teams;
• Providing support to the construction process of all sites including site management and administration;
• Establishing, maintaining and communicating detailed Construction Processes across projects including lessons learnt workshops;
• Assisting in the management of essential business-wide subcontract resources and suppliers;
• Ensuring effective planning and utilisation of all plant and equipment resources across the business;
• Overseeing the planning and coordination of labour resources across all projects;
• Assisting with client liaison in conjunction with operations/project teams;
• Providing input and support to the Precontracts team as required.
• Training and mentoring of project superintendents, supervisors, and team members;
• Assisting with the recruitment of project superintendents, supervisors, and labour resources;
• Monitoring and Implementing HSE requirements and controls in the workplace.

About you

We are looking for a seasoned General Superintendent with significant on-site experience managing and delivering multiple road construction and mining infrastructure projects.

This experience means you will be:

• Highly skilled in detailed bulk earthworks, complex traffic staging, and plant utilisation and management;
• Possess proven communication, negotiating, and analytical skills with the ability to effectively communicate with officials from government, the community, customers, and management groups;
• Be willing, able, and highly motivated to lead, develop, and mentor individuals and teams, empowering them to adopt and drive a targeted culture to meet project delivery objectives;
• Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of quality assurance and Occupational Health and Safety issues and responsibilities including the ability to comply with the relevant Act and Regulations.
