About the Role

Reporting to the People & Culture Advisor, your hours will be 8am - 5 pm based at our Head Office at Eagle Farm with free parking.

We are not offering WFH or flexible hours so please only apply if you enjoy working in an office enjoying daily interactions with a great team (well, hopefully you will think we are!), and the commute makes sense for you.

You will be responsible for the provision of accurate, effective, and timely end to end payroll:

 

  • Processing a fortnightly payroll accurately and on time using Viewpoint;
  • Interpretation of EBA, Award, and individual project employment conditions;
  • Maintaining payroll records including employee data, timesheets, bonuses, and deductions;
  • Calculating and processing payroll adjustments, including leaves of absence, overtime, and special pays;
  • Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters with professionalism and efficiency;
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to payroll processing and employee compensation;
  • Assisting in the administration of employee benefits, including enrolment, changes, and inquiries;
  • Associated administrative duties such as filling, setting up new employee folders, and sending out payslips.


About You

To join our team, you will need to have the following:

 

  • 3 years + full function, end-to-end payroll processing experience, ideally within an Australian civil construction environment;
  • Strong current understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations;
  • Proficiency in payroll software (ideally Viewpoint) and be an advanced Excel user with the ability to use Macro, Pivot Tables, and Look Up functions;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels;
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion;
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy;
  • The ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment;
  •  Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or hold a current valid visa allowing you the right to work in Australia.
