About the role

CMC is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of our major Landslip Remediation project for the city of Lismore. The work involves the extraction of landslide debris, the installation of micro-piles, and the construction of retaining walls to stabilise the slopes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage project quality systems, including inspections, checklists, quality documentation and record keeping.
  • Prepare, implement and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) to ensure compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
  • Administer quality documentation through CivilPro, ensuring accurate and timely records are maintained.
  • Complete and review red pen mark-ups, as-built records and other construction quality documentation.
  • Compile, review and submit project handover packages in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Monitor and report on Quality Assurance KPI's, identifying trends and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct quality inspections and verify works comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards and ITP requirements.
  • Liaise with site teams, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure quality objectives are achieved.

About you

  • Degree qualified Civil Engineer with experience in Quality Assurance, PQR/ CQR, Project Engineering or a similar civil construction role.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and managing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality documentation.
  • Proficient in CivilPro and document control systems.
  • Experience completing red pen mark-ups, as-built records and compiling project handover packages.
  • Strong understanding of QA systems, compliance requirements and the importance of Quality KPIs in project delivery.
  • High attention to detail with excellent record-keeping and organisational skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively with site teams, subcontractors and clients.
  • Familiarity with NSW specifications is desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of HSEQ management systems, compliance and reporting procedures
