About the role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support and deliver CMC’s internal and external marketing initiatives.
Working closely with the Executive Manager – Strategic Markets and Partnerships, this role will play a key part in shaping CMC’s brand presence, supporting business development activities, and promoting our people, projects, and culture across multiple platforms.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys both strategic input and day-to-day execution and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the development and delivery of marketing and communications strategies aligned with business growth objectives;
- Creating, editing and coordinating content across platforms including LinkedIn, the CMC website, and internal communication channels;
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders (e.g. Precontracts, Operations, People & Culture) to gather content and develop engaging stories;
- Managing and scheduling social media and digital content, including monitoring performance and engagement analytics;
- Assisting with the preparation of capability statements, project announcements, submissions content, and promotional materials;
- Coordinating marketing and branding requirements for events, project launches, and industry functions;
- Supporting internal communications and employee engagement initiatives;
- Maintaining content libraries, image databases, and marketing assets;
- Liaising with external suppliers such as designers, photographers, and web developers as required;
- Managing content calendars and approval workflows to ensure timely and consistent delivery.
About you
As the successful candidate, you will bring:
- Experience in a marketing, communications, or similar role;
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone across different audiences;
- High attention to detail and a strong eye for branding and consistency;
- Experience managing social media platforms and digital content;
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
- Experience with design tools (e.g. InDesign, Canva) or content creation tools will be highly regarded;
- Experience within construction, infrastructure, or a similar industry will be highly regarded but not essential.
