About the/our project/s

CMC are in the process of delivering four Early Works packages at the Brigalow Power Project, a proposed natural gas power station that will provide firming capacity for peak electricity demand periods and complement variable wind and solar energy.

The project will be built next to CS Energy's Kogen Creek Power Station near Chinchilla in the Western Downs.

This region is critical to Queensland's energy supply system and offers excellent connections into the existing power grid.


About the role

An experienced Project Administrative Assistant is required to join our team on site at our Brigalow project. We are ideally looking for candidates who live locally and can DIDO to site each day. The project runs on a 10/4 roster but a 5/2 roster may be considered for the right candidate.

Duties include:

  • Collecting, scanning, filing, and distributing paperwork
  • Data Entry
  • Invoice and docket matching
  • Generating purchase orders
  • Handling correspondence
  • Maintaining registers
  • Timesheet entry
  • Travel and accommodation bookings
  • General Administration duties
  • Responding to phone and email queries
  • Assisting the project team as required


About you

Ideally you will be residing in the Chinchilla region and have:

  • Current or recent experience of office-based and/or on-site project delivery
  • Experience with the processing and collating of timesheets
  • A minimum of 12 months experience preparing and reconciling purchase orders, invoicing, and end-of-month reporting
  • Be a team player with excellent time management skills and a can-do attitude
  • The ability to facilitate strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Enjoys and thrives working in a busy team environment
  • Good working knowledge of the Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, Outlook) and Microsoft Teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A current open driver’s licence
