The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an internal Claro team member to join a supportive and inclusive team. We are seeking a Community Disability Support Worker located in Andrews Farm, SA

Each day may look a little different, but your work will be centered around the following:

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get to know them and understand goals and routines.

• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan

• Medical support: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.

• Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.

• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.

• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being

You’ll work with people who have big, real-world needs, from mobility and medical care to daily routines, communication, and fun activities.

Every client is a unique story. You’ll tailor support to their goals, vibes, routines, values, and culture.

You’ll team up with families, medical professionals, and other support workers to keep everything running smoothly.

Who we’re looking for

• Additional competencies required: Manual Handling, Acquired Brain Injury, Medication Administration, Changed Behaviours, Mealtime management, Complex Bowel Care, Severe Dysphagia Management

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Driver’s License, reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance

• At least one year’s experience as a Disability Support Worker

• NDIS Clearance, First Aid (3 yrs), CPR (12 months) & National police clearance - or willingness to obtain

Available roster

Line 7 – 58 hours per fortnight

Week 1

• Wednesday – 7:00 -10:00 and community participation 10:00 - 14:00

• Saturday – 17:30 - 10:00 and passive sleep 23:00 - 7:00

• Sunday – 23:00 - 8:00 - Active Sleep

Week 2

• Monday – 17:30 - 10:00 and passive sleep 23:00 - 7:00

• Tuesday – 23:00 - 8:00 - Active Sleep

• Wednesday – 23:00 - 8:00 - Active Sleep

• Saturday – 13:00 - 20:00
