The opportunity

As the face of Christchurch Airport, this role will see you contributing to a positive experience for a wide variety of people in and around the airport, including airline teams, airport tenants, passengers and everyone in between.

This is a part- time shift position, meaning you will work 11 hour shifts on a 2 days on/ 6 days off pattern, with the rotation covering the airport’s 24/7 operating period.

As a member of the Airport Services team, you will thrive on being responsible for:

  • Actively engaging with and assisting passengers and visitors at the airport, ensuring their experience in our airport is positive
  • Liaising with Airport stakeholders, including Airlines, Government agencies, other operators and tenants
  • Being well prepared and capable to assist with emergency management situations
  • Ensuring we maintain a safe and secure airport at all times

As our ideal candidate, you are:

  • Passionate about helping people, with proven experience in front-line customer service
  • Resilient, solution-focused and proactive
  • Physically fit, with your role requiring you to walk around for most of your 11-hour shift, both inside and outside the terminal.
  • Comfortable working on a shift roster basis, including covering night shifts when required (1700 to 0600).
