Architecture and Data Manager

Christchurch Airport is entering an exciting new phase for Digital and Technology, strengthening our core capabilities while accelerating our digital future. We’re recruiting key leadership roles to help drive this next stage, including the Architecture and Data Manager. This is a pivotal role in shaping how our technology, data and platforms come together to support operational resilience, smarter decision-making, and future growth

What You’ll Do

• Define and evolve the organisation’s architecture and technology direction, ensuring alignment between strategy, systems, data and security
• Establish and embed architecture standards, principles and governance to guide consistent, high-quality technology decisions
• Shape and drive our data strategy and work programme, enabling better use of data for operational and analytical outcomes
• Provide leadership across cyber security and information protection, ensuring risks are managed and controls are embedded by design
• Provide clear advice to leadership on technology direction, risks and opportunities across the business

Who You Are

• An architecture leader, with depth across enterprise, solution and data domains
• Able to think strategically while staying pragmatic - balancing long-term direction with real-world delivery constraints
• A systems thinker who can see the big picture, connect across domains and simplify complexity
• Collaborative and relationship-driven, working effectively across teams, vendors and stakeholders
• Naturally curious and forward thinking, with a drive to improve how technology and data are used across the organisation

What You Bring

• Experience in architecture, data, or related technology roles, including leadership of technical teams
• Strong experience across enteprise architecture, solution design, data platforms, and/or cyber security domains
• Proven ability to establish architecture standards, governance frameworks, and guide technology decision-making
• Experience translating business needs into scalable, secure and integrated technology and data solutions
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability, with the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity
