The opportunity
As the face of Christchurch Airport, this role will see you contributing to a positive experience for a wide variety of people in and around the airport, including airline teams, airport tenants, passengers and everyone in between.
This is a part-time night shift position, meaning you will be working an 8-hour shift, on a 4 days on/ 4 days off pattern, with the rotation covering the airport’s 24/7 operating period.
We are currently seeking to fill four (4x) vacancies.
As a member of the Customer Services team, you will thrive on being responsible for:
- Actively engaging with and assisting passengers and visitors at the airport, ensuring their experience in our airport is positive
- Liaising with Airport stakeholders, including Airlines, Government agencies, other operators and tenants
- Being well prepared and capable to assist with emergency management situations
- Ensuring we maintain a safe and secure airport at all times
As our ideal candidate, you are:
- Passionate about helping people, with proven experience in front-line customer service
- Resilient, solution-focused and proactive
- Physically fit, with your role requiring you to walk around for most of your shift, both inside and outside.
- Comfortable working on a shift roster basis to cover the 24/7 operation of the airport, including working night shifts when required (1700 to 0600)
