About the Opportunity 

The Y Victoria are currently recruiting for a Full Time OSHC Director for our Armstrong Creek Primary School service. OSHC Director will be dedicated to empowering young children and have a passion for providing engaging experiences. You will be responsible for: 

  • Overseeing the daily operations and strategic development and growth of the program;
  • Working with the OSHC team to implement an educational program and daily practices, that captures children’s skills and interests;
  • Working with the OSHC Regional Manager to identify and respond to service improvement opportunities, including daily operations and systems management to plan and meet budgetary requirements;
  • Creating a positive relationship with the school, families, local community groups and contract partners; 
  • Managing a team of educators who support you in operating a high quality and fun Outside of School Hours Care program 

This is a full time leadership opportunity with a salary of $85,685+ superannuation.

About You 

Our ideal candidate is a natural leader with a strong background in education and working with children with additional needs. Your understanding of best practices in education, behavior management, and child development enables you to lead by example and drive continuous improvement within your team. You will: 

  • Be compassionate, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting the unique needs of every child and family 
  • Have great organisational and administration skills and proficiency in IT, specifically Microsoft office and Qikkids 
  • Be an empowering mentor, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within your team 
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

What do you need? 

  • Minimum working towards tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care and/or Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood
  • Have (or be willing to obtain) HLTAID012 First Aid Qualifications (including valid CPR) 
  • Have (or be willing to obtain) WWCC (Working With Children Check) Employee edition (VIT unable to be accepted)
  • Anaphylaxis and Asthma Qualifications
  • Equivalent experience
