Self-lead role within the Children's Programs team.

OSHC (Outside School Hour Care) are services for families, children and schools across Victoria. Within this team we offer both before and after school care, school holiday programs and facility management. Our programs take place in local primary schools, community centres and recreation centres.
About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Manager -OSHC, the Community Engagement Manager will oversee the operations and strategic development of the community spaces within the Ys Children’s Programs facilities and supports community activations within the OSHC and school communities.
This role is responsible for ensuring the facilities are well maintained to ensure optimal operating results. The successful candidate will oversee the organisation’s facility operations including bookings for 12 community facilities, inductions for hirers, all while remaining compliant with local, state and federal regulations. Responsibilities include:
- Assure the effective functioning of facilities to provide an efficient and safe working environment for community groups, employees and their activities by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the organisation.
- Supporting the wider Children and Youth Programs team with fun and engaging community activations to support growth in Early Learning, OSHC, School Holiday and Youth Programs.
- Strengthening partnerships with schools and external stakeholders in eleven PPP schools across greater Melbourne.
- Submit end of month reporting requirements, including financial reporting and issuing of invoices.
- Be the first point of contact for community partners, specifically in relation to facility maintenance.
This is a full-time role. Officially based at Box Hill working in a Hybrid model, you’ll work across many sites and from home, depending on work priorities. The Remuneration for this role is $109,000 plus super.
About You
The ideal candidate will have the ability to negotiate, consult and communicate with a range of community stakeholders, facility users, council staff and groups. Preferably you will have come from a similar industry and have a level of experience in the OSHC sector. Other requirements include:
- High level of verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of problem solving and effective, autonomous decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain positive professional networks that facilitate effective communication and operations within the local environment.

Qualifications
- Tertiary Qualifications in Facilities Management, or related qualification such as Project Management, Business Management or Marketing and Communications
