About the Assignment 

To provide coordination of the onsite gym facilities, including program development and running of group fitness classes as well as coordination of gym facilities, equipment and functions. The position will work closely with the health and wellbeing team to facilitate wellness and health promotion programs, as well as provide support and assistance to onsite GP services in the Brisbane office. 

Onsite Gym Facilities

  • Develop and design fitness classes for the general Santos workforce, as well as specific programs for individuals as required or as directed by the onsite GP services.
  • Coordinate and schedule classes on the booking application.
  • Conduct basic health assessments and run inductions for new staff members and new gym attendees to ensure safety of individuals when using the gym.
  • Oversee the maintenance and functionality of fitness equipment and coordinate repairs and replacements.
  • Actively promote the gym, fitness classes and health and wellbeing initiatives in conjunction with the health and wellbeing team.

Health & Wellbeing

  • Support the Health and Wellbeing team in implementation of the Health and Wellbeing strategy and assist with health and wellbeing projects and implementation of key initiatives.
  • Provide assistance and advice in developing and arranging health promotions and wellbeing activities.

Medical Support:

  • Support the onsite GP services doctors with improving the health and wellbeing of Santos employees, by wording in tandem with the GP to support individuals with tailored programs.
  • Provide health coaching, mentoring, motivating and inspiring people to set and achieve health goals.


About You 

Your key skills and experience includes: 

  • Experience working in health promotion, corporate health and fitness facility (group fitness)
  • Experience creating programs and providing support for injury and long-term illness rehabilitation 
  • Yoga or Pilates qualifications and experience
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills including effective communications across multiple levels of an organisation
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across different levels of an organisation
  • Preferred experience in administration, customer services or support functions
  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities


Mandatory Tickets / Quals / Certs 

  • Certificate IV in Fitness – or Diploma of Sport and Recreation 
  • CPR and First Aid
