About the Assignment

  • Completions and Well Testing Supervisor 
  • 12 Month Contract
  • FIFO - Offshore WA

Chandler Macleod, in collaboration with Santos, is currently seeking an experienced Completions and Well Testing Supervisor to join the Santos Drilling team. The primary objective of this position is to provide wellsite supervision for the safe execution of wireline, slickline, completion and well testing activities in accordance with approved programmes.

Core Accountabilities include:

  • Provide effective and visible safety leadership at the wellsite to Company and contractor personnel involved in completion and well testing operations
  • Supervise and coordinate all wireline and slickline activities on well location ensuring the activities are conducted safely and efficiently in accordance with relevant approved programme
  • Supervise and coordinate all completion activates on well location ensuring completions are run safely and efficiently in accordance with relevant approved completion programme
  • Supervise and coordinate all well test activities on well location ensuring well test conducted safely and in accordance with relevant approved well testing programme, safety case revision and environment plan.
  • Witness stack up and factory acceptance testing of key completion equipment and running tools (onshore)
  • Witness preparation of equipment and load out procedures to ensure that equipment is not damaged in transit (onshore)
  • Participate in QA/QC reviews of service provider’s tangible equipment and running tools
  • Conduct detailed reviews of well services, completion and well testing procedures
  • Participate and provide input into programme reviews such as CWOPs, TWOPs, risk assessments, etc.
  • Lead the pre-job well services (E-Line / slickline), completion and well testing meetings with all rig site personnel
  • Verify all equipment and tools required for the operation are on location and in satisfactory condition prior to running
  • Observe make-up and running of all tools and ensure that dimensions, makeup torque, shear pin values etc. are all within tolerance
  • Ensures that sandface completion and sandface stimulation, sand control etc. is performed safely and in accordance with the completion programme
  • Ensures Critical Acceptance Criteria supporting documentation is signed off and retained
  • Coordinates the compilation and recording of learnings identified offshore and communicates them for continuous improvement of well programmes
  • Compiles accurate completion, well testing and well services information and data in WellVIew daily reports
  • Compiles all completions information required for input into the Well Handover document
  • Provides input into End of Well Reports
  • Assist Drilling Supervisor in tracking costs of well services, completion and well testing activities
  • Compliance with the Santos Management System (SMS).
  • Compliance with the Santos Delegation of Authority (DOA).
  • Compliance with the Santos Corporate Governance and Safety requirements.

 This assignment is initially offered for 12 months, engaged via Chandler Macleod.

Location for this assignment is Rig Based, Offshore WA, even time rotation.

About You

  • Extensive years of relevant wireline, slickline, completions and well testing experience in supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Strong planning, organizational & leadership skills
  • Ability to perform in high stress situations
