Calibre has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Engineer with SMP experience and background to join a high-performing team at our Perth CBD Office. As a Senior Project Engineer at Calibre, you will join a multidisciplinary project team working on a sustaining capital project for a large-scale iron ore mine. Working on this technologically advanced and complex mining asset, your initial key deliverables will see you:

  • Developing and implementing project controls, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Writing reports and scopes of work, and developing project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Monitoring progress and identifying potential problems with respect for budgets, schedules, and engineering standards.
  • Providing estimating scheduling, and reporting.
  • Provide stakeholder management and maintain positive client relationships through conducting work in a professional and productive manner.

Thrive with us! We hope you’ll bring

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in project engineering and experience working on SMP projects.
  • Experience within Mining, engineering design, and sustaining capital project environments.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a team environment and foster good relationships.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
