Within Western Australia our Mining & Resources Division delivers engineering and construction projects for our key Tier 1 iron ore producing clients, which enables them to sustain and expand their mining operations throughout the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. Calibre showcases commitment to minimising the impact of operations on the environment, by ensuring that environmental input is included in every phase of a project, from inception to closure.

This position is suited to a Junior with some work experience, through to a mid level Advisor looking to grow their experience within Mining. You will be joining an experienced project team, with support from the wider Environmental community throughout Calibre to provide support, guidance and development.

The Role: 

You will be part of a major mining project for one of our Tier 1 iron ore producing clients. We are looking for someone with a flexible mindset and excellent interpersonal skills to integrate into both our project and clients team. Your day to day will look like:

  • Assist the Senior Environmental Advisor, Environmental Manager and Project Manager with relevant environmental reporting
  • Prepare and assist with environmental impact assessments
  • Maintenance of compliance records, documents and data analysis
  • Monitor and communicate changes to relevant legislation, regulations, and codes of practices
  • Undertake investigations to improve environmental performance

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science/Management or related discipline
  • Experience using GIS Software is beneficial
  • An understanding of current Sustainability issues and Environmental legislation
  • Ability to collect and analyse data
  • An effective listener, communicator and team player
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
