Within Western Australia our Mining & Resources Division delivers engineering and construction projects for our key Tier 1 iron ore producing clients, which enables them to sustain and expand their mining operations throughout the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. As a trusted partner to the WA resource sector, Calibre is integrated in our Client’s Major Projects which enables up to go above and beyond and succeed together with our clients.

The Role:

Working as part of an integrated client and delivery team, you'll have the chance to be part of an iconic WA closure project. This position will support the day-to-day data management activities of the project team associated with closure and rehabilitation, as well and general environmental management, including spreadsheet and database maintenance, data analysis and general knowledge management and administrative activities. 

  • Facilitate and/or oversee the collection, recording and analysis of environmental data to support internal and external environmental reporting
  • Responsible for the collection and analysis of environmental data to support the project
  • GIS data files management and creation of maps to support reporting and stakeholder engagement
  • Engage with various internal stakeholders to meet data and evidence requirements to support the project outcomes

Thrive with us! We hope you'll bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Geology, Earth Sciences or similar
  • Work experience in environmental data management and preparing technical reports
  • Competency using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to produce maps and drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and an appetite to learn and develop technical skills relevant to closure
  • Experience with remote sensing and geospatial datasets an advantage 
  • A good understanding of a cross-section of environmental disciplines e.g., ecology, hydrogeology, hydrology, soil science, and cultural heritage would be advantageous
