Who are you?  

As a Principal Data and Insights Consultant at Cevo, you'll need a combination of technical skills, strategic thinking, and effective communication.  

  • 10+ years in a hands-on role in the data and technology industry 
  • Experience in data architecture and solution design for modern data platforms 
  • Previous Consulting experience within enterprise environments 
  • 2+ years' experience in a senior hands-on data engineering role, leading technical teams 
  • You are hold at least one of these AWS Certifications 
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional 
  • AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty 
  • AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty 
  • AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty (or relevant replacement) 
  • AWS Certified Database – Specialty 
  • Plus;  
  • Snowflake SnowPro or Databricks Lakehouse (beneficial) 

Desired and beneficial skills would include: 

Technical Skills: 

AWS Expertise: 

  • Proficiency in AWS data, analytics, and AI/ML services such as Amazon S3, Redshift, SageMaker, Glue, Bedrock and Amazon Q. 
  • Hands-on experience with designing and implementing large-scale, distributed data platforms and AI/ML models on AWS. 

Data Engineering and Architecture 

  • Strong background in data engineering, including ETL processes, data warehousing, and data lakes.  
  • Experience with data architecture, ensuring data quality, governance, and security.  
  • Knowledge around large scale Data Migrations  

Machine Learning and AI: 

  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and their integration with AWS services. 
  • Ability to build, train, and deploy machine learning models on AWS. 

Strategic and Analytical Skills: 

 Business Acumen: 

  • Ability to connect data, analytics, and AI solutions to measurable business outcomes. 
  • Experience in developing data strategies that align with business goals. 

Problem-Solving: 

  • Strong analytical skills to identify and solve complex data-related problems. 
  • Ability to design scalable and cost-effective solutions. 

Customer Engagement: 

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders, including data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and business leaders. 
  • Experience in conducting training sessions, deep architectural discussions, and cloud acceleration programs. 

Thought Leadership: 

  • Ability to educate customers on best practices around advanced data, analytics, and AI solutions on AWS. 
  • Experience in authoring customer-facing content like whitepapers and blog posts. 

Presales: 

  • Taking a leadership role in presales (EOI, RFI, RFP) activities, presenting solutions to our clients and answering questions in a pre sales environment
