Who are you?
A successful Principal Consultant - Migration at Cevo is not only highly skilled and technically passionate about AWS; they are also a consultant who loves using their problem-solving ability and curiosity to empower organisations to innovate in the cloud, underpinned by AWS best practice. You will also ideally have experience performing migration assessments, including business case and migration planning, presenting migration options to customers, handling objections and supporting sales to win migration projects.As a Principal Consultant - Migration at Cevo, you'll need a combination of technical skills, strategic thinking, and effective communication.
- 7+ years in a hands-on role in the Modernisation and technology industry
- Experience in architecture and solution design for modernisation platforms
- Previous Consulting experience within enterprise environments
- 2+ years' experience in a senior hands-on modernisation engineering role, leading technical teams
You hold AWS Certifications in:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
Desired skills would include:
Migration Expertise:
- Proven experience in a technical role overseeing Modernisation (Migration or Platform Engineering) Projects in AWS environments at an enterprise scale.
- Ideally have experience performing migration assessments, including business case and migration planning.
- Advanced Level AWS Experience (IAM, VPC, S3, EC2, SSM)
- Deep technical knowledge of Infrastructure including IaaS, VPC, DNS, Linux etc
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, SAM, CDK)
Business Acumen:
- Ability to present and explain ideas to customers and colleagues both from a business and technical viewpoint
- Experience in developing Modernisation strategies that align with business goals.
Problem-Solving:
- Strong analytical skills to identify and solve complex modernisation-related problems.
- Ability to design scalable and cost-effective solutions.
Customer Engagement:
- Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
- Experience in conducting training sessions, deep architectural discussions, and cloud acceleration programs.
Thought Leadership:
- Ability to educate customers on best practices around Modernisation solutions on AWS.
- Experience in authoring customer-facing content like whitepapers and blog posts.
Pre-sales:
- Taking a leadership role in pre-sales (EOI, RFI, RFP) activities, presenting solutions to our clients and answering questions in a pre-sales environment
