Job Impact

As a senior operational and commercial leader, this role is accountable for key account management, operational performance, and portfolio growth across a major New South Wales client portfolio.

Operating as a leader of leaders, you will take ownership of strategic client relationships, service delivery outcomes, and commercial performance, ensuring Certis consistently delivers on promises while strengthening long‑term partnerships.

You will play a critical role in taking services to market, retaining and growing existing accounts, and leveraging technology and data to build sustainable capability and capacity across the portfolio.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Key Account & Client Leadership

  • Ownership of primary relationships across key and strategic client accounts
  • Acting as a trusted advisor, leading structured engagement including strategic reviews, performance reporting, and escalation management
  • Driving client retention, contract stability, and organic growth through strong commercial and operational outcomes
  • Partnering with internal teams to develop and deliver innovative, value‑led security solutions

Operational Leadership & Service Delivery

  • End‑to‑end accountability for service delivery across a complex portfolio, ensuring contractual KPIs, compliance obligations, and customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded
  • Getting hands‑on when required, leading from the front and setting the standard for delivery excellence
  • Oversight of rostering integrity, workforce deployment, and operational readiness
  • Governance of operational risk, audits, and regulatory compliance in highly regulated environments

Commercial & Portfolio Performance

  • Accountability for revenue, margin, cost‑to‑serve, and commercial performance across the portfolio
  • Driving labour efficiency, managing unrecovered labour, and balancing service expectations with commercial outcomes
  • Supporting go‑to‑market activity, tenders, rebids, and scope reviews
  • Using data and analytics to inform decisions, improve forecasting, and strengthen performance outcomes

People Leadership & Capability

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing Client Services Managers and operational leaders
  • Building strong, accountable leadership teams with a focus on capability uplift and resilience
  • Championing engagement, retention, safety leadership, and inclusive culture across large frontline teams
  • Leading by example with clear communication, presence, and integrity

Technology, Transformation & Continuous Improvement

  • Leveraging technology, systems, and data to improve service delivery, scalability, and customer insight
  • Driving standardisation, quality, and continuous improvement across the portfolio
  • Supporting Certis’ broader transformation agenda and best‑practice adoption across sites

 What You’ll Bring

Essential

  • Current Security Licence (desirable not essential Security Advisor subclass)
  • Strong key account and client relationship management experience, ideally within security or contract‑based services
  • Proven senior operational leadership experience managing large, complex service portfolios
  • Deep understanding of commercial drivers including margin management, labour efficiency, and contract health
  • Demonstrated success in retaining, growing, and stabilising client portfolios
  • Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to influence, problem‑solve, and deliver outcomes
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

  • Deep understanding of the security industry and its regulatory environment
  • Experience operating in high‑risk or regulated environments (e.g. aviation, ports, critical infrastructure)
  • Exposure to technology‑enabled transformation or data‑driven service models
