Cargo Screener – WA

Step into a high-trust aviation security role where your actions directly protect Australia's air cargo network.

Your new role as a Cargo Screener, you'll be the final line of defence in the air freight supply chain. Working across multiple WA locations, you will ensure cargo is screened to the highest safety and compliance standards before it enters the aviation network.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, thrives in unique environments, and takes pride in doing work that truly matters. Whether you come with aviation experience or you're ready to step into a specialised security pathway, we will support you with industry-leading training.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Conducting cargo screening using approved aviation methods (X-ray, ETD, physical checks)
• Ensuring all cargo meets strict government aviation security regulations
• Identifying prohibited or dangerous items with precision and vigilance
• Completing compliance documentation to regulatory standards
• Maintaining secure control of screening equipment and designated areas
• Representing Certis professionally as the on-site security specialist
• Operating with full accountability and independence in remote / semi-remote sites

About You:

• A strong security mindset and commitment to aviation compliance
• Excellent attention to detail and sharp problem-solving skills
• The maturity and confidence to work independently
• Great communication skills to work effectively with freight personnel
• Reliability, punctuality, and responsibility — essential for remote operations

Key Requirements:

• Hold a valid security licence (mandatory)
• Be able to hold or obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
• Have prior aviation screening experience (passenger or cargo) - advantageous but not required
• Be fully reliable and able to attend all rostered shifts - critical in remote operations
