Job Impact:
As a Gatehouse Security Officer, you’ll play a critical role in managing secure access and maintaining operational integrity at our client site. You’ll oversee gatehouse operations, control vehicle and pedestrian movement, monitor surveillance systems, and respond promptly to incidents. Your professionalism and attention to detail will ensure uninterrupted service delivery, compliance with security protocols, and a safe environment for staff, contractors, and visitors.
We are currently recruiting for:
4 Full-Time Permanent roles (24/7 coverage required (therefore day/night shift available)
Key Responsibilities:
- Access Control:
- Manage vehicle and pedestrian access at gates, ensuring compliance with site security protocols.
- Traffic & Movement Management:
- Control vehicle flow, intercoms, and parking areas to maintain safe and efficient site operations.
- Contractor & Visitor Induction:
- Ensure all contractors and visitors are appropriately inducted and logged in the visitor management system.
- Surveillance & Monitoring:
Monitor CCTV systems and site alarms, providing perimeter security and identifying vulnerabilities.
- Patrolling:
- Conduct internal and external foot patrols to maintain site integrity and detect risks.
- Incident Response:
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security breaches, escalating as required.
- Reporting & Administration:
- Prepare daily communication diaries, event logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation accurately and on time.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Monitor WHS standards, enforce security procedures, and report hazards or breaches immediately.
- Customer Service:
- Deliver professional, courteous service to staff, contractors, and visitors while upholding security standards.
Qualifications
Mandatory:
✔ Current and valid State Security Licence
✔ Certificate II in Security Operations
✔ Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Current MSIC/Ability to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
✔ Excellent communication and customer service skills
✔ Professional presentation and strong understanding of corporate security protocols
✔ Current Valid driving license.
Desirable:
✔ CCTV monitoring and access control system experience
