Be part of something big — where precision protects revenue

At Certis Security Australia, we deliver innovative, integrated security solutions that create safer environments — including major events and high-profile sites across Australia.

Our commitment is to a Safer, Smarter and Better workplace, where people are supported, respected and empowered. As Australia’s only next-generation security company operating at scale, we’re transforming how we work through technology, automation and operational excellence.

Behind every safe, successful operation is accurate data and disciplined processes. That’s where you come in.

As a Billing Team Leader, you’ll play a critical role in protecting revenue by ensuring billing is accurate, timely, and compliant across the organisation.

You’ll lead a team of Billing Officers, balancing people leadership, operational delivery, and risk management to ensure invoices are raised correctly, aligned to contracts, and ready to stand up to audit and customer scrutiny. Your work helps prevent downstream collections issues, improves cash flow, and strengthens customer trust.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who values precision, structure, and accountability.

Reporting to the Credit & Billing Manager, you’ll oversee end‑to‑end billing operations, manage complex or non‑standard billing matters, and coach your team to deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes in a deadline‑driven environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead & Support the Team

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Billing Officers
  • Allocate workloads and manage priorities to meet billing cycles
  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance support
  • Address performance or conduct matters in line with policy

Own Billing Operations

  • Oversee invoice generation, validation, and release
  • Ensure billing aligns with contracts, pricing schedules, and service data
  • Review and approve complex or high‑risk billing items
  • Manage annual rate increases across all customers
  • Monitor billing accuracy, rework, and exception trends

Stay Compliant

  • Ensure billing activities meet internal controls, delegations, and audit requirements
  • Identify, manage, and escalate billing risks or systemic issues
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and audit‑ready system records

Improve the Way We Work

  • Drive consistent use of billing and finance systems
  • Track key metrics including timeliness, accuracy, and adjustments
  • Contribute to process improvements that strengthen controls and customer outcomes
  • Support audits, reviews, and reporting as required

Partner with the Business

  • Work closely with Credit, Collections, Operations, and Finance teams
  • Engage with customers to resolve billing queries or escalations
  • Escalate issues impacting revenue, accuracy, or customer experience

About You

You’re a confident, detail‑driven people leader who understands that quality billing underpins everything that follows.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in billing, invoicing, or finance operations
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of billing accuracy, controls, and revenue integrity
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline‑driven environment

Bonus points if you have:

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience
  • Experience in regulated, contract‑based, or high‑volume environments
  • Exposure to credit, collections, or end‑to‑end revenue processes
  • A qualification in Finance, Business, or a related discipline
