About the role

As a Technical specialist, you will provide CenITex and its customers with expert technical advice and knowledge within the managed Cloud platforms and Active Directory environments. The role will work and collaborate closely with Customers, Solution Designers, Architects, Technology Leads and Service Leads in the Infrastructure Services teams. On-call support is a requirement, for afterhours fault rectification, based on a rostered schedule.  

  • Should be able to act as a subject matter expert in Azure and/or AWS to provide deep technical expertise around design & advice to both new and existing customers.
  • You have been working with Cloud IaaS and PaaS and a Technical certification in Azure / AWS at an administrator / architect level.
  • Have proven experience in contributing to and leading projects related to Cloud automation, optimization and security,
  • Have proven experience in deployment of cloud resources using automation tools (e.g. Terraform, Azure DevOPS pipelines).
  • Have a strong concept scripting and automation using PowerShell, NodeJS, Python, Bash.
  • Have proven capability to understand client capabilities, application-based architecture best practices, commercial models and other requirements which will help customers plan and execute their transformations to AWS or Azure cloud.
  • Have experience in enterprise level Active Directory Services (Windows 2016 and above) in a hybrid on-premises and cloud hosted environment.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management principles, authentication protocols and security best practices such as MFA and Conditional Access.
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace.
  • Certification in AWS and/or Azure as DevOps Engineer or Solution Architect is a plus.
  • Have experience in transitioning of large technical environments, and a proven background working with ITIL aligned processes (incident, problem, change and release)
