CDC NSW is seeking an experienced Sales Business Development & Project Execution Manager to drive sales growth and oversee the successful execution of new commercial and charter opportunities.

Reporting to the CEO NSW, this senior role is responsible for identifying and securing new revenue opportunities and leading the end‑to‑end delivery of awarded contracts — from commercial close through to operational launch. The role works closely with operational leaders, project teams and executive stakeholders to ensure sales commitments are delivered safely, compliantly and profitably.

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and develop new revenue opportunities across charter services, public transport, school transport, tourism, special events and corporate contracts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, government agencies, councils and strategic partners
  • Lead the preparation of commercial proposals, tenders and bids
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs and competitor activity to inform sales strategy and pricing
  • Deliver against agreed sales targets, revenue growth and margin outcomes

Sales Project Management & Execution

  • Lead the end‑to‑end execution of sales projects from contract award to service commencement
  • Coordinate cross‑functional delivery with operations, fleet, planning, finance, legal and customer service teams
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets and resourcing
  • Ensure service levels, contractual obligations and KPIs are achieved
  • Identify, manage and mitigate project risks, issues and change

Contract & Commercial Management

  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing and scope with customers and partners
  • Oversee contract implementation, renewals, variations and performance monitoring
  • Track contract profitability and implement corrective actions where required
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards and CDC NSW policies

Stakeholder & Financial Management

  • Act as the primary commercial interface between customers and internal stakeholders
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets and business cases for new opportunities
  • Monitor revenue, costs and margins against targets
  • Provide regular reporting on sales pipeline, project status and financial performance

Process Improvement & Leadership

  • Improve sales processes, tools and CRM usage
  • Identify opportunities for service innovation and value‑added transport solutions
  • Lead, coach and support sales and project contributors as required
  • Ensure appropriate governance, approvals and documentation are in place

About You

You are a commercially astute professional who enjoys combining sales leadership with practical delivery and execution.

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in sales, business, project management or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in sales, business development and project execution
  • Experience operating in complex or multi‑stakeholder environments
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and commercial contracting
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
  • Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and profitability
  • A collaborative, organised and outcomes‑focused approach
  • Strong communication skills and high personal integrity

Experience in a similar role within a bus and / or coach operator will be highly regarded.
