 About the Role:

The Operational Support Group division at CDC is looking for a dynamic, passionate and self-motivated Bus Service Planner to join their team at the Bateau Bay depot.

This is an ongoing full-time opportunity reporting to the Service Delivery Manager to provide support across all school bus and route bus service planning for the regions.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Through the use of appropriate knowledge & skills the Bus Service Planner is responsible for providing support in the planning of bus service networks operated by CDC NSW.

The Bus Service Planner works closely with the Scheduler responsible for the regions, depot operations staff, control centre staff and external stakeholders, including schools, councils, community groups, land developers and Transport for NSW staff.

The position provides information and reports to both internal and external groups, and participates in regular meetings with Transport for NSW. You'll be investigating and writing out business cases for service changes, including calculating differences in contract costs, to ensure KPIs are met.

The compliance of all services and practices with Government Legislation, fatigue regulations, policies, procedural and Company contractual guidelines is a key component of this role.

  • Well organised, able to prioritise effectively and manage projects to agreed timelines despite conflicting priorities

 Qualification and accreditations:

  • Strong PC proficiency, particularly MS Excel, Outlook and Word. Knowledge or ability to learn VBA and SQL.
