About the Role:
The Finance division at CDC is looking for a dynamic, passionate, and self-motivated Financial Analyst to join their team at the Seven Hills head office.
This is an ongoing full-time opportunity reporting to the Commercial Manager to provide support for the Commercial function. This role will be responsible for the calculation of revenue claims, sustainability reporting, and some aspects of contract reporting. This role will also assist with budgeting and forecasting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Calculation of claims for rail, special events, emergency bussing, and other work as required. This will require business partnering with multiple functions.
- Preparation of claims summaries and reconciliations for internal and external parties as well as follow up of these outstanding amounts.
- Month end accruals.
- Reporting to Transport for NSW on outstanding claims and key contractual commitments.
- Sustainability reporting.
- Support on regular reporting and business improvement initiatives as required.
- Financial statement analysis and review.
- Financial forecasting and budgeting.
- Supporting month end reporting processes and other tasks as required.
About You:
- Analytical and numeracy skills, particularly in relation to financial and operational aspects of business.
- Demonstrated ability to create reports which provide insights and improve shareholder value.
- Understanding of budgeting and forecasting principles and processes.
- Advanced Excel Skills.
- Ability to establish positive relationships to gain cooperation and collaboration.
Qualification and accreditations:
- CPA or equivalent is desirable.
- Bachelor's or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
