 About the Role:

 The Scheduling team at CDC is looking for a dynamic, passionate and self-motivated Scheduler to join their team at the Seven Hills depot.

This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity reporting to the Senior Scheduler to provide support across the scheduling team in establishing and maintaining a successful central process for the development and building of schedules, rosters and timetables for the bus network/s that CDC is operating.   

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  •  Build, develop and implement daily timetable services and rosters for bus services operated by CDC NSW, this includes both rosters and period rosters.   
  • Build, develop and implement timetable services for additional services required for special events such as rail replacement services, Easter Show, major sporting events and other ad-hoc requirements. 
  • Respond swiftly to dynamic changes to schedules during emergencies, pandemic crisis, or other unplanned situations.  
  • Assist in the identification of efficiencies / savings in schedules that will benefit the organization. 
  • Ensuring timely upload of TODIS files to reflect the most up to date changes and schedules that will be operated. 
  • Demonstrating an understanding of the Transport Industries regulations on fatigue and designing schedules compliant with these regulations. 
  • Responding to request and queries from Depots in a timely manner and to provide depots with the information / solutions that are realistic.  
  • Preparation of schedule files for use in the ERP system (D365). 
  • Assist and develop staff in the scheduling department so that key functions within the department are maintained and person risk mitigated. 


About You:

  • Experience in preparation and development of scheduling, timetables and rosters 
  • Knowledge of public transport and CDC bus services 
  • Strong PC proficiency, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word.  
  • Knowledge or ability to learn HASTUS Software Package 
  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to produce value-added business solutions. 
  • Well-developed communication skills, including interpersonal, verbal and written skills 
  • Well-developed capacity in interpreting company policies and procedures and reports. 

 Qualification and accreditations:

  • Degree in Business Management preferably specialising in Transport & Logistics
