Heavy Vehicle Mechanic - PM Shift

The Role:

CDC NSW has multiple Heavy Vehicle Mechanic opportunities to maintain and repair our bus fleet to ensure we can continue connecting people and places safely. Working in our modern and well-equipped workshops along with OEM training and support on modern bus fleet, this is not an opportunity to be missed!

This is a full-time position based in our workshops in Seven Hills or Northmead. The candidate should have flexibility to work PM shifts.

What you will do: 

• Maintaining, repairing and servicing our fleet
• Identifying, reporting and repairing vehicle defects
• Conducting planned maintenance in accordance with workshop schedules
• Completing assigned duties in a safe, clean, competent and timely manner
• Entering accurate information into fleet maintenance software
• Attending to breakdowns, accidents and incidents

About You:

If you are passionate about working on buses or are interested in Heavy vehicles, we have the opportunity to upgrade your Light vehicle experience to Heavy vehicle if you have below:

• A current Motor Vehicle Repair Licence
• Preferably previous experience in the Heavy Vehicle Inspection process conducted by the RMS
• Heavy vehicle experience desirable
• MR or HR driver's licence or willingness to obtain
• Flexibility to work PM shifts
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to adhere to regulation guidelines
• The ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
