Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.

 As the Career Pathways Officer, you will work with a range of employers in various industries to establish paid work opportunities for participating carers. You will work to build the capacity of employers to holistically support candidates and employees who are carers.

 This role has the ability to provide great employment outcomes for carers by partnering with employers as a part of the Career Pathways for Carers (CP4C). This is a part time (2 days per week) contract position until June 2025.

  Our ideal candidate should possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Degree qualification in business, management, HR or related field
  • Understanding of employment related legislation, initiatives and trends
  • Understanding of and experience supporting disadvantaged groups re-enter the workforce
  • Understanding of employment pathways and requirements in a range of industries
  • Proven ability to build relationships and network with stakeholders, organisations and employment networks
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, promote and report on projects
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide evidence-based advice to a range of professional stakeholders
  • Strong time management and task prioritising skills
  • High level written, oral communication and computer skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment

 Salary and Benefits

The Full time salary is around $95-99K + super (pro-rata for part time). Additional benefits include salary sacrificing benefits, flexible work arrangements, a highly supportive team environment, excellent training and development opportunities and health and wellness programs.
