Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.
As the Education & Development Officer your focus will be on developing content in various mediums to deliver information to build the capacity of service providers and key stakeholders. You will be passionate about adult education and highly competent with technology and digital tools to be able to develop engaging and inclusive sessions.
This is a part time (4 days per week) contract position until June 2026.
Our ideal candidate should possess the following skills and attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in Education, Learning Design, Community Development, or a related field
 - Demonstrated experience in facilitating engaging adult learning sessions, both in-person and online to various stakeholders
 - Experience in providing education sessions to various stakeholders within the aged care or allied health services sector
 - Demonstrated experience and sound knowledge of the principles of adult education and group work, to appropriately develop educational resources
 - Demonstrated experience in developing education content and resources for delivery across various mediums such as face to face, video link, webinars and e-learning technologies
 - Experience in identifying training needs and analysing gaps
 - Strong research and analytical skills
 - Strong time management and task prioritising skills
 - High level written, oral communication and computer skills
 - Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment

Salary and Benefits
