Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.
As the Manager, Carer Inclusion, you will take a strategic approach in leading the Carer Inclusion team to oversee employment related projects such as Carers + Employers, and the delivery of carer engagement and community awareness, as well as health and wellbeing projects.
This position would suit someone that wants to make a positive impact and has expertise in community engagement or experience in the education or employment sectors.
This is a full time (38 hours) or part time (30 hours) contract position until June 2024, with possibility of extension based on funding.
Our ideal candidate should possess the following skills and attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, social sciences, management or other relevant disciplines
- Demonstrated experience in developing external strategic relationships
- High level management skills and experience including project management, and demonstrated people leadership skills
- Expertise in engagement, communication, and/or education activities that promote inclusion
- High level writing skills with a strong attention to detail
- An understanding of the development and delivery of projects that support carer inclusion; including community development, and activities that build carer awareness
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of the role of key stakeholders including State and Federal Governments.
- Advanced computer skills
