The Role

We're looking for a skilled Automotive Paint Prepper to complete our Somerton team.

You'll be the critical link between panel repair and the spray booth — responsible for getting every vehicle prepped to a standard that allows our painters to deliver a flawless finish.

Permanent position, Monday to Friday with overtime

What you'll be doing:

• Sanding, filling, and shaping repaired panels to a smooth finish
• Applying and blocking body filler and primers
• Masking vehicles in preparation for painting
• Identifying and addressing surface imperfections before paint application
• Working closely with panel beaters and painters to keep jobs moving
• Maintaining a clean, safe workspace and completing job documentation

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience as a Paint Prepper or Panel Prepper in a smash repair environment
• Solid knowledge of sanding, filling, priming, and masking techniques
• Ability to work efficiently within a production repair process
• Strong eye for detail — you know what a good prep job looks like
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and a team player
• Full working rights in Australia
