Keen to venture into the bush and connect with nature? Lady Northcote Discovery Camp, located in the beautiful Rowsley Valley, are seeking a lead cook to join their dynamic team!
About the Camp
Lady Northcote Discovery Camp is located 15kms outside of Bacchus Marsh in the beautiful Rowsley Valley. We catering for groups of all sizes from 15 to over 300. Serving over 95.000 meals per year across 4 serving areas. We operate 350 days per year.
About the Role
Lady Northcote Discovery Camp is looking for an outgoing, fun loving person who has a great attention to detail to work as part of leading our Kitchen team when directed by our Catering Coordinator. The position involves ensuring that Preparing and serving meals to campers of all ages and backgrounds, assisting user groups with there requirements from catering for dietary requirements, assisting in cleaning at the end of each meal as well as ensuring all areas are reset for new groups.
The successful person must be available weekends, and the shifts are 7am-2:30pm, and 4:30pm-7:30pm. We have approximately 20-30 hours per week available for the suitable candidate.
This is a casual role with an hourly rate of $35.35 + Super.
About You
You are a cook who is looking for some flexibility in your workplace, and possesses strong interpersonal and leadership skills, which will allow you to build strong and positive relationships with campers, colleagues and other stakeholders. You will be well-organised, committed to excellent customer service and have the ability to apply best practice as outlined in the camp’s Food Safety Plan and to ensure compliance with local government requirements and YMCA policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
