About the Role

As a Program Officer at Lady Northcote Discovery Camp, you will be on the front lines of delivering unforgettable experiences. You won't just be running activities; you'll be creating a safe, engaging environment where young people can challenge themselves and grow. Working closely with teachers and group leaders, you will ensure every program hits the mark, balancing fun with valuable learning outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering impact: Facilitating a range of outdoor programs and activities for visiting schools and community groups, ensuring they are delivered safely and effectively.
• Creating connections: Liaising with teachers and group leaders to understand their goals and ensure learning outcomes are achieved.
• Program excellence: Assisting in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of diverse programs tailored to different groups.
• Equipment care: Maintaining program equipment to ensure it is safe, functional, and ready for the next adventure.
• Living our values: Upholding the values of the Y Victoria in every interaction, ensuring a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for all.

This is a casual position paying $37.71 p.h + super.

About Lady Northcote Discovery Camp

The YMCA Lady Northcote is a Recreation Camp located in Rowsley, just outside of Bacchus Marsh, 67 km west of Melbourne. The surrounding environment is rural. Lady Northcote accommodates a range of groups from 10 up to 250 people and operates all year. The Camp is owned by the State Government of Victoria and managed by YMCA Victoria, under a 21 year lease that concludes in the year 2041. The camp’s outdoor program takes place on the camp site, and the surrounding Brisbane Ranges using a variety of outdoor and adventure based activities.
