About the Camp

Howmans Gap Alpine Discovery Camp is an alpine centre and adventure camp located by Falls Creek, and managed by YMCA Camps. Catering to schools and groups year-round, the team at Howmans Gap run a variety of programs and activities to suit every group, from skiing and tobogganing in winter, to orienteering and mountain biking in summer. Featuring state-of-the-art accessible accommodation, cosy cottages, and full catering options, Howmans Gap Alpine Discovery Centre is the perfect place to explore the great outdoors, come snow or sunshine.

About the Role

As Duty Supervisor will maintain a broad knowledge of Camp programs and services whilst at the same time managing the following functions whilst on duty

• Customer service, safety, staff rosters and breaks and general maintenance and cleaning
• Ensuring all camp programs are delivered effectively and safely
• Assisting in preparing, implementing and evaluating a range of programs for different groups
• Maintaining program equipment
• Upholding the values of the Y Victoria at all times

This is a casual position with an hourly rate of $40.08 + Super.

About You

You are a motivated individual with experience in the delivery of outdoor recreation programs involving young people. You can demonstrate leadership qualities, and possess strong interpersonal skills, which will allow you to build strong and positive relationships with a number of stakeholders.
