About the Role

As a Program Assistant at Camp Manyung, you will help create unforgettable experiences in the great outdoors. Our camp is a place where young people discover new skills and build confidence. You will work alongside a passionate team to ensure every activity is safe, engaging, and fun.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering programs: Facilitating a variety of outdoor activities for visiting schools and community groups, ensuring they are delivered safely and effectively.
• Supporting learning: Assisting in preparing, implementing, and evaluating programs that help different groups achieve their learning outcomes.
• Equipment care: Maintaining program equipment to ensure it is always safe, functional, and ready for action.
• Living our values: Upholding the values of the Y Victoria in every interaction, creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all campers.

About You

We are looking for a motivated individual who loves the outdoors and is passionate about working with young people. You are a natural team player with strong leadership qualities and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

What you bring to the team:

• Experience: Previous experience in delivering outdoor recreation programs involving young people.
• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership qualities that inspire confidence and enthusiasm.
• People skills: Strong interpersonal skills that allow you to build positive relationships with campers, colleagues, and stakeholders.

About Camp Manyung

Camp Manyung is a recreation camp located in Mt Eliza on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, and managed by YMCA Camps. Catering to schools and groups year-round, the team at Camp Manyung run a variety of programs and activities to suit every group, from snorkeling and kayaking to archery and raft building. Featuring a state-of-the-art recreation center, flexible and accessible accommodation and picturesque outdoor areas, Camp Manyung is the perfect place to explore the great outdoors.
