Automotive Electrician

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Auto Electrician to join our South Island Delivery Centre team. Working on exclusive brands such as Mercedes Benz, Freightliner and Fuso Trucks, new and used, we require a highly motivated person working to a high standard with a keen eye for detail.

You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing components, parts, accessories, and electronic systems in commercial vehicles and heavy diesel equipment.

Mechanical skills will be advantageous as the role may require some work outside of electrical, Pre Delivery Inspections, air component install etc

You will:

• Hold relevant Auto Electrical Trade qualifications and the ability to upskill as technology advances -i.e. EV’s
• Have experience, knowledge and understanding to enable repair and maintenance primarily of commercial vehicles but also the ability to work on construction equipment if required.
• Possess strong diagnostic abilities and computer skills.
• Have a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
• Have good communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long term relationships
• A police clearance and current drivers licence are essential
