Chef de Partie - Japanese Cuisine

Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is located on the world-famous Cable Beach in Broome, far north Western Australia. Our property has 225 rooms of varying styles, 4 restaurants, pool side bars, tour desk, Resort Shop and Day Spa.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Chef De Partie who has experience in a premium kitchen service in Japanese cuisine to work within our Japanese restaurant Ikigai. The restaurant works on a 5 day roster and will require you to learn and develop skills in all sections of the busy kitchen operation, specifically, Japanese cuisine.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

• Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery.
• Experience in a high volume restaurant;
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team;
• Hotel/resort experience will be highly regarded;

Duties Include:

• Utilising the staff and resources available, organise and facilitate the highest possible standards of food service in your designated area of the kitchen.
• Ensure concerns with product and service are communicated with the Senior Chef in Charge.
• Encourage clear communication lines and forums between all personnel.
• Ensure the Kitchen is clean and tidy and ready for any inspection. Ensure Food is correctly handled, stored correctly. Ensure Staff are aware of requirements and follow Food Safety Guidelines and Food Safety Program.
