Landscaping Supervisor

Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is located on the world-famous Cable Beach in Broome, far north Western Australia. Broome is easily accessible by plane to all major Australian cities and offers a relaxed lifestyle with all the conveniences of shops, restaurants, cinemas, hospital and schools. Our property has 225 rooms of varying styles, 4 restaurants, pool side bars, tour desk, Resort Shop and Day Spa.

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team.  This is a Full Time position reporting directly to the Chief Engineer. Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is set across 26 acres of beautifully presented grounds. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with an eye for detail to ensure the already high standard of presentation is maintained.  

The key duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Supervising and directing the gardening team to ensure the Resort’s gardening and landscaping requirements are met.
• Supervise general garden maintenance practices such as planting, pruning, weeding, fertilising, rubbish removal and mulching.
• Ensure gardening tools and machinery are kept in good working condition.
• Support the onboarding and training of new team members.
• Coordinate and interact with individuals from outside the resort such as suppliers and contractors.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by the Chief Engineer or the Resort Manaher in a timely and efficient manner.

The required skills and experience for this role include:

• Diploma in Horticulture (minimum level required)
• Certificate in Safe Pool Operations
• Previous experience in a similar role at a supervisory level
• A strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and practices
• A current manual driver's license
• The ability to multitask and communicate effectively at all levels
• Previous experience in a Resort or Hotel environment will be considered an advantage
